What’s the big idea, anyway?

Joshua Shelton is an obsessive guitar player and tinkerer from the Foothills of North Carolina.  He calls Winston-Salem home or something like it.

His preoccupations include string-to-string volume balance, being annoyed with compression, how every cup of coffee isn’t as good as it promised to be, how dogs are proof of benevolent forces extant within the universe, and how he simultaneously wants all the guitars and to have only one guitar to rule them all.  It’s confusing.

This hub of perspective (blog) deals with putting music back into its proper context, in his admittedly unhumble opinion.  It does so through insight and interviews reaching into the real (beyond the smartphone) lives of his guitar playing friends.
